A WOMAN broke the golden ‘silence’ rule in her local library when her ex-partner approached her.
Heather Mein, 29, at first simply ignored Neil Davidson when he talked quietly to her.
But when he started raising “issues” about their former relationship she started shouting at him.
Livingston Sheriff Court heard that Mr Davidson turned his back on her, but Mein then walked towards him and punched him once on the face.
Prosecutor Lindsey Armstrong said that Mr Davidson got up and immediately left the building.
He reported the incident to police, who traced Mein the following day.
Miss Armstrong said: “During her detention she indicated that she wished she’d punched him harder.”
Mein, of Whitburn, pleaded guilty to assault when she appeared from custody yesterday and was fined £100.
