A woman has appeared in the dock dressed as a panda bear.
Samantha Lockhart, 40, was wearing the “onesie” outfit when police arrested her in the early hours of yesterday morning.
She spent the night in the cells before appearing from custody at Livingston Sheriff Court yesterday.
Lockhart covered the costume with a coat during her appearance before Sheriff Martin Edington. The front of the dock hid the fact that she was still wearing her house slippers, while the overcoat hid the ears.
Friends brought her other clothing and she changed in a court toilet after she was released from custody.
Lockhart, of Blackburn. West Lothian, was accused of breaching a bail condition imposed at the same court on January 17.
She was banned by a sheriff from entering Rowan Street in Blackburn or approaching Christopher Dyer – a witness in another alleged case against her.
The alleged bail offence was continued without plea for several days to allow her to instruct a lawyer.
