A woman has been rushed to hospital after she was knocked down by a car on London Road this morning.
The incident, which occurred at around 11.30am, saw police and two ambulance crews attend the scene on the junction of Hillside Crescent.
It is understood the woman - who is believed to have been in her 60s - was conscious when she was taken by ambulance to the Royal Infirmary just after midday.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police and emergency services responded to London Road at about 11.30am this morning following a collision between a car and a pedestrian.
“The female pedestrian was conveyed to the Royal Infirmary by ambulance, and enquiries are continuing.”
