A WOMAN has been left “incredibly shaken” after being targeted by a bag snatcher.
The 53-year-old victim, who has difficulty walking due to recent hip surgery, was returning home along Lochend Crescent at 9.20pm on Wednesday when a man approached from behind and grabbed her bag.
The pair struggled before the suspect fled on to Lochend Road with the stolen handbag.
He is described as being white, around 5ft 4ins tall with a slim build, dark eyes and a small nose. He was wearing a dark beanie hat and a dark scarf with light stripes covering his face, a dark bomber jacket and white trainers.
A police spokesman said: “The victim has been left incredibly shaken by this ordeal and we are keen to speak to anyone who can help us trace the man responsible. Anyone who was in or around Lochend Crescent is asked to contact police immediately.”
