A woman was treated for slight smoke inhalation following a small fire in the early hours of this morning.

Firefighters were called to Carnegie Court in Southside just after midnight following reports of a small kitchen fire.

The fire had been extinguished prior to their arrival, and a female was treated at the scene for slight smoke inhalation.

She was given oxygen by fire fighters prior to the arrival of the ambulance service, and was not transported to hospital.
