A PRISONER threatened to have a custody officer “knee-capped” and quoted a Irish republican slogan at a Northern Irish prison guard.
Grant Davidson told one officer: “You better look at your knees because it’s the last time you’ll see them.”
Livingston Sheriff Court heard he shouted through the hatch at the guard: “Tiocfaidh ar la”, which translates as “our day will come” and is a phrase attributed to the Provisional IRA.
Davidson, 36, of Broxburn, West Lothian, appeared for sentence yesterday after earlier pleading guilty to behaving in a threatening and abusive manner at West Lothian Civic Centre. Sheriff Martin Edington put Davidson under social work supervision for a year.
