The young winner of a poster campaign to target vandalism in the West of Edinburgh is to receive an award as part of a police initiative.
As part of Lothian and Borders Police’s Community Commitment pledge, officers in the Sighthill and Gorgie area identified vandalism as a key priority to address.
Officers visited Murrayburn Primary School to speak with pupils and arrange a poster competition that highlights the impact vandalism can have on a community.
The designer of the winning poster will be presented with an award, courtesy of ASDA, by players from Heart of Midlothian FC at a ceremony within the school today.
The poster will be displayed across the west of Edinburgh and within ASDA. The runners-up will also have their posters featured in the store and receive an award for their efforts.
