Two youngsters are celebrating after clinching top prizes at the World Solo Drumming contest.
This year was the first time that the annual competition, this year held at Glasgow Caledonian University, introduced juvenile titles.
Carrie Bain, 17, from Longniddry, won first place in the 18 and under title, with Blair Logan, 14, from Prestonpans, winning first place in the 14 and under category.
Drum teacher Simon Grant said: “I am a very proud and happy drumming teacher and feel these achievements are the result of hours, days, weeks and months of hard work from everyone involved.
“This isn’t just the competitors or myself but also all of the parents and staff who gave that extra push and encouragement which clearly made all the difference.”
