Money raised to aid the search for Russian student Yulia Solodyankina is to be donated to a missing persons charity.
Miss Solodyankina’s remains were discovered by hillwalkers near the A83 west of Arrochar in January. Police said there were no suspicious circumstances.
The 22 year old, who studied physics at the University of Edinburgh, had disappeared in June 2013. She was last seen on CCTV images taken in Glasgow’s Buchanan Bus Station.
Hundreds gave their support to the campaign to find the missing student.
Leftover funds from the search will now be donated to the charity Missing People.
Miss Solodyankina’s body was returned to her family in Russia, but many of her friends attended a memorial service held in her honour at Edinburgh University’s Chaplaincy Centre last month.
The service included a performance by dance group Anansi, who Miss Solodyankina had performed with the night before she went missing.
