Bosses at Capital’s longest-established nightclub are considering calling time as it approaches its 25th anniversary.

The city centre’s Citrus Club has released a statement via social media warning of the possible closure and urging revellers to “use us or lose us.”

It said: “In the last twenty four hours there has been a lot in the news about the decline in popularity of nightclubbing in the UK.

“As the Citrus Club approaches it’s 25th anniversary, this coming November, we have a very tough decision to make. Do we keep things going or do we celebrate the birthday and then call it a day? The answer is in your hands. If you want us to stay it’s very much a case of “use us or lose us.”

“We are planning some changes to the weekend’s club nights which, hopefully, you guys will appreciate but feel free to tell us what you want from the club.”
