A six-hour ‘photomarathon’ is the main focus for organisers and participants at this year’s Retina Photography Festival.

The photomarathon, which will take place from 12 noon until 6pm tomorrow, is open to competitors from all over the world.

Last year, entrants had to use disposable cameras, but this year it’s strictly smartphones.

Organisers have stated that people of all ages and level of expertise are encouraged to participate in this year’s competition, the premise of which is to take 12 photos over six hours on 12 different themes.

Every shot entered will be exhibited under each participant’s name at the Image Collective Gallery in Ocean Terminal.

Winners will get a professional print of their choice from Metro Imaging.
