Three vehicles collided outside Dalry Primary School on Saturday morning.

Police were called to the scene on Cathcart Place around midday to attend to the incident.

It involved a white Ford transit van, a black Skoda Octavia and a white Ford.

One woman was reported to have minor injuries but no other drivers or passengers were hurt in the collision.

Traffic was diverted as emergency services dealt with the matter, but a spokeswoman for Police Scotland said the road had reopened by 4pm.

Children across the city are due to return to school this week following their summer break.
