A KEEN hillwalker from Edinburgh has been found dead by mountain rescue crews.
Herpreet Bilkhu, 43, was reported missing almost a week ago after last being seen at a house in Lochend.
Police said his body had been discovered on Ben More, near Crianlarich, on Saturday.
It is understood there were no suspicious circumstances.
In a statement, Police Scotland said: “Police in Stirlingshire with the assistance of Killin Mountain Rescue Team traced and recovered the body of a man from Ben More near Crianlarich on Saturday, March 19. “The man has been identified as Herpreet Bilkhu who had earlier been reported missing in the Edinburgh area and was believed to have been hillwalking in the Crianlarich/Killin area.
“Herpreet’s family would like to thank all those who assisted in the search for him after he was reported missing.”
