200 Voices: find out more about the people who have shaped Scotland

The people of Edinburgh are wasting their time if they think Edinburgh council will take the slightest notice of anything they have to say about the transport in the Capital.

They don’t seem to realise that they themselves have caused most of the congestion in Edinburgh by closing roads or making them one way, not to mention the state of our roads from lack of funding.

We have a great bus service, but how are these speed limits going to affect bus timetables?

Spend the money from the trams on making better roads, more park and ride and open Edinburgh up again to the motor car.

We are not idiots, we already slow down near schools and also on residential streets. The council forgets the revenue the motorist generates, so stop persecuting us and dictating to us what mode of transport we should use.

The car in some shape or form is with us for some time to come, so work with it not against it and think about everyone who wants to come into town, not just the tourists.
