A man was rushed to hospital after a serious assault in Livingston last night

Police in West Lothian are appealing for information following the attack.

The incident is believed to have happened at an address in Wood Place between 9pm and 11pm on Tuesday 16 May.

A 36-year-old man had sustained serious head injuries and attended St John’s Hospital for treatment.

Detective Sergeant David MacMillan of Livingston CID said:

“We believe this man was the victim of a violent attack and are appealing for the public’s help as part of our ongoing enquiries.

“Anyone who may have information about this incident, or who saw suspicious behaviour in the area around this time, is urged to get in touch as soon as possible.”
