A man has been taken to hospital after being hit by a skip on Lothian Road.
A 52-year-old suffered minor injuries after being struck at around 7am this morning.
Lothian Road was closed in both directions following the incident with ambulance crews attending the scene.
It is thought that the skip was being hoisted at the time before swinging into the man.
Numerous delays occurred as a result of the road closure with police also attending the scene.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Police and emergency services responded following a report of a 52-year-old man being struck by a skip.
“The incident happened on Lothian Road around 7am on Tuesday, November 1. The man sustained minor injuries and has been taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
“The road has now reopened. The public are thanked for their patience.”
