An female pedestrian suffered minor head injuries in an incident involving a Stagecoach bus yesterday on Elder Street.

The pedestrian was checked over at the scene but required no further treatment.

A spokeswoman for Stagecoach said: “One of our vehicles operating on service X54 was involved in an incident near Edinburgh bus station at around 3.30pm on Wednesday, in which a pedestrian was injured.

“Our immediate thoughts are for the welfare of the person involved.

“Safety is our absolute priority. We are assisting the police with their enquiries into the incident.”

All services returned to normal by 5pm.
