Police launch appeal to find missing 13-year-old Nell Murray

Police have launched an appeal to find a missing 13-year-old from Oxgangs.

Nell Murray left her home in Oxgangs Crescent around 7.50am on Monday March 27.

To date, she has not made contact and police officers are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare.

There was a further sighting of Nell in Lochview Court around 2.20am on Tuesday March 28.

Nell is described as white girl with a slim build. She is around 5ft 3” in height with fair skin and straight brown hair that reaches past her shoulders.

The teenager was last seen wearing black jeans with a white shirt and green parka jacket, along with blue trainers. She was also carrying a white and brown bag.

Inspector Andrew Johnson of Howdenhall Police Station said: “Nell has not been seen for some time and we are eager to trace her whereabouts as soon as possible.

“I would ask anyone who has seen Nell, or recognises her description, to get in touch with us as soon as possible.

“I would also ask Nell to make contact with her family or police if she sees this message.”
