Investigations are continuing into the unexplained death of a nine-day old baby boy in the city.

Paramedics were called to the family home in Ferry Road on Wednesday morning at around 9.50am, with police called out later.

The child was taken to the Sick Kids Hospital but he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

The boy’s parents have been named locally as Cheryl Moffat Low, 27, and Scott Graham, 26 and the baby as Tylar.

A JustGiving page has been set up to try and raise £2000 for a gravestone and a memorial garden for the baby.

A police spokeswoman said: “Police were called to Ferry Road following a report of concern for a nine-day-old baby.

“The baby was taken to the Sick Kids where he was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.

“Inquiries into the full circumstances surrounding the death are ongoing and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
