UKIP leader Nigel Farage is heading to the capital next month for the Holyrood Manifesto launch, the party’s leader in Scotland has confirmed.

David Coburn MEP revealed on social media that Mr Farage would be in Edinburgh on April 7.

In 2013 Mr Farage had to lock himself inside the Canons’ Gait pub in the Royal Mile before police escorted him away as protesters chanted outside.

And during his most recent visit to the capital, a year later, hundreds of protesters gathered outside the Corn Exchange to tell the UKIP leader that Edinburgh would not stand for his brand of politics.
