A 1000-MILE cycle challenge to raise £1500 for the Team Jak Foundation starts today.
The event will go towards supporting even more children with cancer and their families at Jak’s Den in Livingston Village.
The charity was set up by Jak Trueman, who died last year following a battle with a rare and aggressive form of cancer at the age of 15.
As part of the two-day challenge – starting at 9am each day – shoppers will be encouraged to get on any one of the six stationary bikes after making a minimum donation of £1.
Jak’s mum, Allison Barr, said: “This is going to be one of our biggest challenges yet but we have received a huge amount of support from people who are planning to turn up on the day and cycle a few miles for us.”
