NEWTONGRANGE STAR moved to the top of section 2 in the Andy Kelly Memorial Trophy with a 3-1 victory over Dalkeith Thistle.
Dalkeith took the lead with an own goal but Star hit back early in the second half through a Scott McCulloch strike before Grant Meaney gave them the lead for the first time.

Newtongrange finished the game off when Meaney was brought down in the box and Steve Thomson scored with the resultant penalty.

Elsewhere, Whitburn beat Kilsyth 2-1 with goals from new signings David Murphy and Ian Doig.

Musselburgh Athletic beat a Hearts XI 4-3 at Olive Bank.

Musselburgh's new signings stole the show with Ryan McCallum, signed from Arniston, bagging a double and Chris Gordon, captured from Penicuik, also netting. Paul Currie also scored.
