European Under-23 Women’s Cross Country Champion Rhona Auckland takes to the roads on Sunday when she contests the BUPA Great Edinburgh 10K Run against some tough opposition from England and Ireland.

Edinburgh University medical sciences student Auckland, who had been nursing injuries after her gold medal triumph in Bulgaria last December, she turned in another impressive performance when she took the Scottish national title for the first time at Callendar Park, Falkirk in February.

Andrew Lemoncello (Fife AC), who was third in the Great Edinburgh Run over 10 miles last year, leads the men’s entry from a posse of Scots, including last year’s fourth finisher Robert Gilroy (Cambuslang), Corstorphine’s Mickey Breen, Edinburgh University students Ben Stevenson and Scott Stirling, Tewolde Mengisteab and Paul Sorry.
