Boroughmuir Blaze followed up their nail-biting last second win over Edinburgh Kings with an 83-56 away win over Dunfermline Reign at St Columba’s High.
They are now joint top of the Scottish basketball League with four wins out of four. Also with four out of four are Glasgow University, who shocked St Mirren 74-63 at the Stevenson Building on Saturday.
Edinburgh University have won both their league games but had their away Scottish Cup tie with Ayrshire Tornadoes called off as one of the referees was ill and there was no available replacement.
Blaze probably had an easier game than they expected on Saturday as Reign point guard Steve Archer suffered a serious ankle injury in the very first play of the game and was taken to hospital in Kirkcaldy.
Archer, coach to the promising Heriot-Watt University student team, fears he may be out of action for at least two months.
Kings have lost two games in three days and overall have won two and lost three which scarcely reflects how close their recent games have been.
After their 74-73 setback at the Crags they lost only 81-76 to Glasgow Storm at Scotstoun on Saturday having led several times.
Their top scorer was Craig Reilly with 22 while Kyle Haldane had 24 for Storm.
