East Scotland Warriors, the new Scottish BBL franchise, begin their first Skills Academy sessions at Holy Rood High School on Monday at 9pm for boys aged 12-18.

The next will be a week today at 7.30pm for boys and girls aged 12-18, with an all-girls session a week on Monday at 9pm.

Warriors founder, Donald Sampley, said: The philosophy we have at the Warriors Skills Academy is that no player has a position; we teach players how to play and react to every situation they might find themselves on the basketball court. This philosophy will develop well rounded players possessing the multiple tools needed to excel in today’s fast paced game of basketball. Our development does not consist of only basketball fundamentals; we hope that each player who trains at the Warriors Skills Academy incorporates our four pillar philosophy into their daily routine.”
