Lochend Amateur Boxing Club on Sleigh Drive can open its doors again to new members after completing an upgrade of facilities.
Justice Minister Kenny MacAskill was pleased to formally declare the new-look premises open, including its extended main hall, extra equipment and better shower facilities.
Coach Terry McCormack, pictured with Mr MacAskill, said: “After a period when we had to close our doors to kids we are able to cater for around 250 boxers and keep-fit enthusiasts. There’s no doubt having more room will help us improve the quality of our boxers who also include women.”
