Carlton and Mazars Grange will both put their unbeaten Murgitroyd Masterton Trophy starts to the test this evening when they take on Musselburgh and Edinburgh respectively.
In League One of the Twenty20 event Carlton have already posted wins over Edinburgh University and Edinburgh.
And now they host Musselburgh at Grange Loan, starting as favourites with the East Lothian men having lost to Grange and Edinburgh University already.
Grange make the trip to Campbell Park wary that Edinburgh can be a tough nut to crack on their own patch. When Carlton went there recently, they only edged past them by nine runs.
Meanwhile, Elliot Ruthven is back in SMRH colours as they host Edinburgh University at Inverleith.
Ruthven, the brother of skipper Greg, has recently returned from a spell in Australia.
Last season he was the key bowler for the side as they gained promotion to the top flight while he went on to play for the Eastern Knights and then Scotland ‘A’.
SMRH have not yet played in the Masterton this summer while the students have won one and lost two, last week putting in a fine performance to defeat Musselburgh.
All three matches start at 6pm.
