Mazars Grange batsmen George Munsey (89 not out) and Neil McCallum (67) cut loose as the Scottish Cup holders prepared themselves for another defence later this season with a runaway semi-final victory over East Kilbride at Torrance House.

Scotland A star Munsey was in imperious form as he smacked seven of the last eight deliveries received for six. Former Scotland spinner Ross Lyons even went for four maximums in an over.

Earlier, spinner Andrew Brock (3-37) and seamer Gordon Goudie (3-42) had put Grange firmly in charge by dismissing first-time semi-finalists East Kilbride for 173.

Such was the ferocity of the Grange offensive that the target was achieved in just 26.1 overs.

Grange’s final opponents will be Clydesale, who were equally convincing in beating Ferguslie at Meikleriggs.

Ferguslie managed just 71 in their innings, leaving Clydesdale to canter to the winning post.
