Captain Luke Hayes hit a superb 74 off just 30 balls to set Murrayfield DAFS up for a win in the Parks Trophy final against Holy Cross.

At Newfield, DAFS batted first in the Twenty20 match and scored a formidable 179-6.

Sam Fergusson supported the captain well with 40 in the early overs while Mangesh Akerkar hit 30.

Holy Cross’ Simon McOscar made a hard-fought 38 but Anand Venkatesh and Tomas Bridgeman came together in the bowling department for DAFS as they won by 44 runs after their opponents finished on 135-7.
