These young Capital cricketers excelled when competing for the fourth successive year at the prestigious Shrewsbury School junior festival.

Playing under the Grange banner a combined under-11 and under-12 team also comprised three from Carlton and one from SMRH.

Five out of six matches were won against fully streamed English county opposition and the boys played four 40-over games in the main competition and two 20-over games on the Twenty20 day.

Grange finished a record third in the 40-over competition beating Derbyshire in the 3rd/4th play-off and only losing to eventual champions Shropshire.

In the Twenty20 competition Grange beat first-class opposition again in Northamptonshire and Derbyshire to finish joint top.

There was an individual prize for Charlie Peet as best all-rounder with nine wickets and 115 runs.
