Capital cyclists Phil Trodden and Finlay Young are among four Scots who have joined the ambitious new outfit, Team Moda Anon.
Team manager Jason Scales is a coach based at the Velodrome in Manchester, the city where the new squad has its headquarters. He has brought the group together to offer promising riders an opportunity to progress to the next level in the sport. The arrival of the Scottish quartet takes the number of signings into double figures.
Trodden has made impressive progress since switching from rugby, having played for Edinburgh Accies. He has posted a string of outstanding results on the road and the track. Young has performed more on the road, the discipline on which Moda Anon will be focused.
Both competed in the colours of The Racers last season, and two more of their colleagues there, Jack Barrett and Ryan Fenwick will be joining them in making the move to the new team where the benefit of a bigger squad and an impressive list of sponsors should offer the opportunity to compete regularly at a high level.
