Capital cyclists will face top-class opposition in the second round of the Revolution Series in Manchester tomorrow.
Phil Trodden lines up for Rigmar Racers in the endurance events. He and team-mate Alastair Rutherford will contest several events against opponents including German Nico Hesslich, and the leading British stars Pete Kennaugh, Luke Rowe and Ed Clancy.
In the sprint, Callum Skinner will look to continue his fine form when he goes head to head with triple world champion Francois Pervis. The Frenchman leads a powerful international field featuring riders from Spain, Germany, Holland and the Czech Republic as well as Skinner’s fellow Scot Jonathan Biggin.
Pervis had the edge on Skinner when they clashed in the closing round of last season’s series. However, the 22-year-old Capital rider has been in scintillating form, bagging four titles at the British Track Championships and helping GB to team sprint gold at the recent UCI World Cup in Mexico.
Edinburgh Road Club youngster Mathias Barnett will don Rigmar Racers colours in the Future Stars Boys events.
