Bo’ness United sneaked through to the final of the East of Scotland Cup last night with a nervy penalty shoot-out win over Premier League side Dundonald Bluebell.

The BUs will take on Hill of Beath at Oakley United’s Blairwood Park this Saturday, but were expected to ease through to the final against their lower league opponents.

Substitute striker Kieran Anderson fired the home side ahead against Dundonald after 74 minutes, but the visitors sent the tie to penalties with a Derek Wallace strike three minutes from time. Bo’ness secured their final spot with a 4-3 triumph on penalties.

Armadale Thistle will face Premier League Broughty Athletic over two legs to preserve their Super League status after Carnoustie Panmure leapfrogged them last night with a 4-1 win over Camelon.
