Former Hibs striker Eoin Doyle scored his second hat-trick in four days as he helped Chesterfield come back from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 away at Preston North End last night.

The Irishman, who played for Hibs between 2011 and 2013 and scored 14 goals in 56 appearances, also netted a treble for the League One club last Saturday when they won 4-1 at home to Scunthorpe.

Doyle’s goals now make him the top scorer in British football with 11 goals in eight matches.
