Gala opened the scoring mid-way through the first half through Jack Hay, writes JOHN CLAYTON.
Hay then turned his marker and sprinted into the box before beating Campbell with a low shot. Close to half time Golspie were awarded a penalty for hand ball which Kerr scored.
Early in the second half Livingstone shot from the corner of the box into the far top corner to extend Gala’s lead. The same player then chipped the ball over Campbell for number four. Golspie pulled one back through Nicolson but then Hay slid a shot into the Golspie net for his second successive Scottish Cup hat trick.
