Former Aberdeen winger Sone Aluko has begun a week-long trial with Rangers, the Clydesdale Bank Premier League leaders have confirmed.
The 22-year-old is without a club after his Dons contract expired at the end of last season.
A statement on www.rangers.co.uk read: “Sone Aluko has begun a week-long trial with Rangers as he bids to win himself a deal with the SPL champions.
“The former Aberdeen winger arrived in Glasgow last night and reported to Murray Park this morning for training.
“He’ll work with Ally McCoist’s squad over the next few days as the manager assesses whether or not to offer him a contract.”
Nigeria internationalist Aluko began his career at Birmingham before loan spells at Aberdeen and Blackpool.
