Hearts will take more than 3000 fans to Central Park for tonight’s rearranged league match with Cowdenbeath less than two days before Christmas.
Supporters of the Edinburgh club are eager to see if their team can move 12 points clear of Rangers at the top of the Scottish Championship.
Head coach Robbie Neilson has told his players that the presence of so many Jambos should act as plenty motivation.
“That shows the support we’ve got. It’s fantastic that they’re going over there on a Tuesday night before Christmas,” he said.
“I don’t need to motivate the players. If they run out there and see 3000 Hearts fans who have travelled up on a Tuesday night, standing at Cowdenbeath in the wind and rain, that should motivate them.
“They also want to be professional and win every game.
‘I think this game is every bit as big a challenge as going to Ibrox. It’s just a different sort of challenge.
‘The emphasis is on us to go and win the game, handle the stadium and the conditions.”
