Hearts have confirmed that Under-20s coach Jack Ross has left the club.
The Evening News revealed on Friday that Ross had taken time off to consider his future.
The 39-year-old arrived at Hearts last July as the third member of the coaching team under head coach Robbie Neilson and assistant Stevie Crawford.
He was absent from training at the club’s request last week and today the Tynecastle club announced he had left with immediate effect.
Director of Football Craig Levein said: “After discussions with Jack, it was confirmed that he would leave Heart of Midlothian FC. We would like to put on record our appreciation for all of the excellent work carried out by Jack during his time with us and for the dedication and commitment he has shown in helping us towards achieving our long-term goals.
“Everyone at Hearts wishes him every success in the future.”
