Sam Nicholson has been named alongside world class talents like Anthony Martial and Raheem Sterling in a list of the 100 best young players in world football.
The online blog In Bed With Maradona bring out an annual list of footballers under the age of 23 to watch out for the following year.
Nicholson is one of only two Scottish based players included for 2016 and he is the first ever Hearts player to make the top 100 since IBWM started producing them in 2012.
The website keeps an eye on the fortunes of every player before publishing reviews later in the year, so Hearts fans should check back around November 2016 to see how they’ve rated Nicholson’s progression.

Nicholson has played regularly for Hearts over the past three seasons, including helping the side to the Ladbrokes Championsip crown. The 20-year-old has made 22 appearances this term, scoring three goals.
Celtic’s Kieran Tierney was the other player chosen from the SPFL. The 18-year-old has been in excellent form since usurping Emilio Izaguirre as the team’s first choice left back.
Hibernian midfielder John McGinn was picked in the list for 2015 alongside Andrew Robertson and Ryan Christie.
