Hearts’ Sergejus Fedotovas unveils loyalty scheme

HEARTS hope to reward every fan who attends their home match against Kilmarnock next weekend with a ticket for the League Cup final. Four loyalty points will be awarded to those who buy a ticket for the match, which should be sufficient 
to guarantee a brief for the Hampden Park showpiece with St Mirren on March 17.

Tynecastle officials were due to meet with Scottish Football League officials today to discuss ticketing arrangements for the cup final. Hearts want as many home sellouts as possible between now and the end of the season and hope reaching a cup final can help their efforts.

“On behalf of the board I’d like to thank supporters once again for the commitment you have shown to the club and ask that you maintain this level of support over the final seven home games of the season,” said director Sergejus Fedotovas via the club website.

“Our combined 
efforts on and off the pitch have kept the club alive and we believe that we will pull through our difficulties if we can finish the job we started. I mentioned before the winter break that the progress of Hearts is now in our hands thanks to all the good work that has been done. We are fortunate that if we sell out our remaining seven home games this season we will have achieved a remarkable result.

“I think it is fair to say that the strategy we laid out at the end of last season to transform the team to a younger, more vibrant, attractive footballing club is now beginning to materialise. This does not happen overnight but it is clear to those who attended our games against Inverness, Dundee and Ross County that there was a freshness to the team’s play and we fully intend for this work to continue.

“We may not be the best team in the league this season but we can undoubtedly become the best young team in the league. That is our immediate aim and, in time, we hope to see real success as a result of the work we are doing now. “The club will be meeting at Hampden Park to discuss all areas relating to the Scottish Communities League Cup Final. As soon as is practical we will then announce formal ticket selling and ticket allocation information to 
supporters.

“Once again we will be using our successful Loyalty Point system as we expect high 
demand for this game. We 
expect that initial sales will be available to those with four or more Loyalty Points. In this way, subject to satisfactory allocation, we aim to reward season ticket holders, shareholders and indeed those supporters who roared the team to victory in the semi-final against Inverness.

“As a special one-off promotion we are also hoping to confirm our intention to offer four loyalty points to everyone who buys a match ticket for the Kilmarnock game here on February 16. By doing this we believe, subject to availability, those who continue to help us meet our aim of selling out our home matches at Tynecastle will be eligible to buy a ticket for the Scottish Communities League Cup Final, which could be one of the most historic days in the club’s history.

“No team in the history of Heart of Midlothian Football Club has held both the Scottish Cup and the League Cup at the same time. To be on the threshold of such an achievement is a credit to everyone at the club and also to you as supporters. This final is for you and we want to make it as accessible as possible to those who have supported the club. We hope that you will see value in buying tickets for the forthcoming Kilmarnock game at Tynecastle to help secure your final seat and, in turn, secure the stability of your own club.

“For this reason we’re asking you to join us and help give us a true final push towards financial security. I look forward to seeing you at the Kilmarnock game on February 16 and the Scottish Communities League Cup Final in March.”
