Hearts striker Paul McCallumis expected to resume training tomorrow after an ankle injury and should be available for Sunday’s Edinburgh derby with Hibs.
The Englishman missed last Friday’s defeat by Dundee Unitedafter going over on his ankle during a training session at Riccarton the previous day, but the injury is not considered serious.
He is due to train tomorrow as Hearts’ build-up to the derby continues, and manager Gary Locke is keen to have McCallum in the squad to face Hibs after he was ruled out last week.
Since arriving on loan from West Ham United at the end of January, McCallum has taken time to adapt to Scottish football and recently found himself relegated to the substitutes’ bench by Locke.
Dale Carrick led the forward line in Hearts’ last two matches against Kilmarnock and United and he could be handed that role again for Sunday.
Midfielder Callum Tapping is again likely to be missing due to combined hamstring and thigh complaints. He has not played for almost two months since the League Cup semi-final against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
