Hearts will travel to Livingston in the second round of the Petrofac Training Cup in an all-Lothians tie that pits the Tynecastle side against their former manager John McGlynn.

The Almondvale clash next month will be the first time McGlynn has locked horns with the Jambos since he left the club 17 months ago, with the first Championship encounter between the sides scheduled for September.

Hibs, meanwhile, will host Clyde if they can overcome Rangers in their first-round tie at Ibrox next Tuesday. The League 2 side are managed by former Ibrox captain Barry Ferguson.

Elsewhere, the most eye-catching tie from yesterday’s draw in Aberdeen is Falkirk’s trip to Fife to face either Dunfermline or Raith Rovers, who are still waiting to play their first-round match after it was postponed when East End Park was engulfed by a storm on Saturday.

Second-round draw:

North: Dunfermline or Raith Rovers v Falkirk; Brora Rangers v East Fife; Brechin City v Peterhead; Stirling Albion v Alloa Athletic.

South: Livingston v Hearts; Rangers or Hibs v Clyde; Morton v Berwick Rangers; Stranraer v Albion Rovers.

Ties to be played on Tuesday/Wednesday August 19/20.
