Hearts winger Jamie Walker is in contention to make his return from injury in the Edinburgh derby later this month.
The 20-year-old has been out since January, when he suffered a broken metatarsal after landing awkwardly in the dying stages of the home defeat by Motherwell.
But, having recovered from the injury, he is now back running and gearing up for action, with the visit of Hibs to Tynecastle on Sunday, March 30 on the horizon.
“Hopefully, I’m looking at being back in two weeks,” Walker told the Evening News. “I’ve been running for two weeks now and it’s looking good and feeling good so I’m looking forward to being back.
“I’d hope to get a few games in the 20s to get a bit of match fitness before I go back into the first team. I should be running again next week and then the week after that I think I’ll be ready to play.”
Hearts Under-20s, meanwhile, are in action tonight, when they welcome their Dunfermline counterparts to New Victoria Park in Newtongrange (7pm kick-off).
