Former Hearts goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald is expected to seal a return to the Scottish Premiership with Kilmarnock in the next 24 hours.

The 29-year-old spent last season in the Championship with Falkirk after a successful period at Tynecastle, in which he was part of the 2012 Scottish Cup-winning team, came to an end a year ago.

Hibs, who are currently without a keeper, made contact with his agent earlier this month, but it amounted to no more than an enquiry.

MacDonald will be reunited with his old Hearts manager, Gary Locke, and former Jambos team-mate Jamie Hamill at Rugby Park.
