Scotland go into their final pool match at the FIL Rathbones under-19 Women’s World Championship lacrosse event in the Capital this evening having already won three matches.
The tournament at the University of Edinburgh playing fields at Peffermill started last Thursday and after a rest day on Monday the pool stages will be completed today before the second phase begins on Wednesday.
In Scotland’s first match they defeated Germany 18-9 with captain Chloe Carruthers, who attends the University of Edinburgh, scoring a goal along with Emily Woolcott from Loretto School.
In the next match against the Czech Republic, Carruthers was again amongst the scorers as Scotland won 19-8.
On Saturday their great form continued against Colombia, winning 18-2, before going down to Japan 16-2 on Sunday.
At 5pm this evening Scotland are due to take on Finland, after which they will find out who they will face on Wednesday.
