Midfielder Nicky Law insists that Rangers will not “do a Hearts” in the Petrofac Training Cup quarter-final tie against East Fife tonight.
The Jambos made ten changes to their team in the second round and as a result lost 4-1 to Livingston, who have gone on to reach the final of the competition, and Law says that Rangers will be treating the tie with the upmost importance.
“It’s the following we get – even to these games,” said Law. “It’s a full away end every game. You can’t really go to the game and do what Hearts did, losing 3 or 4-1, it is something you can’t really do at this club. It’s something we don’t want to do.
“It’s a cup at the end of the day and we want to win it, whatever cup it is.
“The biggest disappointment for me since I’ve been here so far was last year’s final defeat against Raith, so we’re looking to put that right this season.”
The winner at New Bayview plays Alloa in the semis.
