ROBBIE NEILSON has revealed that the SFA have been in touch asking him to explain his comments in the wake of Hearts’ controversial defeat at Hamilton.

After Callum Paterson’s dismissal – which has since been rescinded – proved pivotal in the 3-2 loss 13 days ago, the head coach claimed the Jambos had trained with ten men in the build-up as they felt statistics showed there was a likelihood of referee Willie Collum showing a Hearts player a red card.

“We got an e-mail asking for my thoughts on my comments and I’ve just said exactly what I think,” said Neilson. “The stats are there to back it up. I didn’t question any integrity, I didn’t comment on a performance. The stats are there to see if you do your homework on it. They basically asked me about my comments about training. If they want me to justify all my training then I’ll send it all through to them.”

Blazej Augustyn and Miguel Pallardo, both fighting back from injury, travelled to Inverness with the squad last night, although the Polish defender has a greater chance than the Spanish midfielder of playing a part tonight.
