CALLUM PATERSON is 16/1 to open the scoring as he prepares to return to the Hearts team for tomorrow’s showdown with Rangers at Tynecastle.
The popular full-back has missed the Jambos’ last two matches through suspension and will be eager to make his mark in the lunchtime clash.
The Jambos have a chance to go nine points clear at the top of the Championship table and go into the game as the 29/20 favourites with McBookie.com. Rangers are 9/5, with the draw 5/2.
While Robbie Neilson will want to win the game, he may be happy with a point and it is 2/5 that Hearts avoid defeat.
Osman Sow is the 11/2 favourite to score the first goal although it is unclear if he will play from the start. That could mean Soufian El Hassnaoui leading the line and he is 13/2 to grab the first goal or 2/1 to score anytime. Prince Buaben had to go off injured against Falkirk last weekend although he should be fit to play tomorrow. The Jambos’ penalty taker is 16/1 to score first.
There is some great value in the correct-score market. A 1-0 win for Hearts pays 9/1, 2-0 is a 14/1 chance while you’ll get 28/1 for a 3-0 win. A 1-1 draw is the favourite in the market and can be backed at 13/2.
Meanwhile, across the city, Hibs are 4/6 to pick up all three points at Dumbarton. The hosts are 17/4, with the draw available at 14/5.
Dominique Malonga was clearly missed last week while on international duty and it will be interesting to see if Alan Stubbs throws him straight back in tomorrow. The striker is 4/1 to score the first goal.
Matthew Kennedy took his place last week and the on-loan youngster is 15/2 to net first.
The only positive of last week’s 0-0 draw against Queen of the South was a clean sheet for Kleton Perntreou, who replaced the injured Mark Oxley. The youngster is 11/8 to make it two in a row.
These two clubs have already shared a goalless draw this season and it is 13/1 for that to happen again. It is 25/1 for Hibs to match the 3-2 win from their League Cup clash earlier in the season.
