ANDY DRIVER has returned to Edinburgh after his trial at Yeovil Town was cut short.
The former Hearts winger began training with the English Championship club on Monday but manager Gary Johnson admitted his fitness did not merit any deal. Driver, 26, left Major League Soccer club Houston Dynamo at the end of last year following a productive season in America. However, Johnson said: “He wasn’t quite fit enough and we don’t have the time to get him fit to make a difference.”
Meanwhile, Driver’s former Hearts team-mate Christian Nade yesterday joined Dundee until the end of the season.
