Dunfermline ran out comfortable 2-0 winners over Hearts in a re-arranged Under-20 fixture at New Victoria Park, Newtongrange.
The young Jambos made two changes from their last outing, Mark Ridgers replacing Jack Hamilton in goal and Jack Simpson coming in for Aaron Scott. The first attempts at goal came after 15 minutes, a long-range effort from Liam Smith, and a Gary Oliver shot both missing the target.
The Fifers opened the scoring on 36 minutes, James Thomas netting from close range.
Oliver almost equalised on the stroke of half-time with a shot that was pushed away at full stretch by goalkeeper Jamie Wilson.
A half-time reshuffle failed to inspire a Hearts side that didn’t produce one shot on target. The Fifers wrapped up the points with a second goal on 77 minutes, Thomas grabbing his second goal of the game with a strong shot past Ridgers.
